This Master’s Degree is offered jointly with the WIPO Academy, the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), and Africa University (Mutare, Zimbabwe), with financial assistance from the Government of Japan.
All courses incorporate the theoretical and doctrinal foundations of the legal regime as well as the practical aspects of the particular areas of law. Successful students will be awarded Master’s Degrees in Intellectual Property (MIP) by the Africa University on behalf of WIPO and ARIPO.

Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants shall:
- be nationals of an African country;
- hold at least a Bachelor (second lower class) degree from a recognized university in any discipline; and
- be fluent in English.
- A pass in DL 101 (WIPO free course)
